More than two years have passed since the release of Death Cab for Cutie’s last album, the dark but addictive Narrow Stairs. Ben Gibbard and company’s new album, as of yet untitled, is due for release in spring of 2010, and while any demo tracks or advance singles have been absent from the scene, Gibbard has shared some information about the project in an earlier interview with SPIN. The album is reportedly “not a guitar-based record”, and will feature more keyboard, strings, and mostly instrumental tracks.
