Chef John Riviera Sedlar's new restaurant Playa, opening tonight, isn't anywhere near the beach, but once you're inside it feels as though you might be. The décor is sandy and bright with a floor that brings speckled seashells to mind and funky chandeliers reminiscent of sea urchins, and the fare is about as "summer" as it gets.
Sedlar, a Santa Fe native, aims to bring "an urban Latin experience, a dynamic combination of earth and sea" to Los Angeles with his fusion fare.
