Every Monday, one of our beloved Silver Lake spots, “El Cid,” hosts their own Open Mic Night. Whether you’re looking for a fun night out with friends or an open stage to hone your craft in front of an audience, this is the place to be. Come watch and listen to upwards of 25 different singers, songwriters, up and coming bands, comedians, spoken word artists, as well as the wacky and the weird. If you’re lucky enough, you may catch a performance by one of our reoccurring favorites – “The Wedding Crashers.” Enjoy $4 tapas and drink specials all night long. Get there between 7:30pm and 8:30pm if you want a spot on that stage!

Tonight Austin-based indie rock mainstays Spoon will be performing to a sold-out crowd at El Cid in Silverlake, ringing in their latest endeavor—2010′s Transference. Unreleased tickets will be available at the door. Get there early (around 8 PM), order yourself some guacamole, and you’ll be good to go!
