Minx Society attended the premiere of The Vow last night at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, you know, that new romantic tearjerker starring the lovely Rachel McAdams and abs of steel Channing Tatum.

Crowds lined the streets hours before the event, hoping to get just a glimpse of the excitement. Rachel debuted her new golden blunt-bangs hair do’ and looked stunning in a mint green Vivienne Westwood ruffle dress paired with Pomellato jewelry and beige Louboutin Pigalle pumps.

The after-party followed the screening at The Hollywood Roosevelt across the street and Sony Pictures made all the glitzy party stops – with endless amounts of food & cocktails provided by Public Kitchen & Bar and gift bags provided by Ralph Lauren featuring their new perfume Romance.

As for the film, there are few weaknesses in the plot that can be easily overlooked as The Vow makes for a wonderful romance that is dazzlingly acted. Not to mention, the story – which is, simply put, about a newlywed couple who endures a car accident so bad that the wife suffers memory loss and her husband has to win her heart again – is a true one. Based on the real life story about small-town New Mexico couple, Kim and Krickitt Carpenter, (who were also in attendance, teary-eyed as they watched their romance unfold on the big screen), this is a film for all you lovers out there.

After the wildly successful launch of The Factory, it’s only proper that Minx Society allures you even more with a bigger, better, more fabulous installment this Friday (February 3, 2012).

The striking platinum-bobbed knockout Becka Diamond, dubbed New York City’s modern-day Edie Sedwick & “It Girl” by Nylon Magazine, will be spinning nostalgic, danceable jams at Room 86 until very, very late.

Simultaneously, we’ll have The Dance Party hailing all the way from D.C. & Angeleno natives Das Tapes performing live on the main stage in Dim Mak Studios. Perhaps our specific goal for this Factory night is to get all you stylish partygoers letting loose & moving your hips (and, as always, we’ll do what we do best & promise you plenty of babes & booze)!

Lab Art’s very own artist Gregory Siff, whose work is Pop Art meets Abstract-expressionism meets Street Art, will be decking The Factory out! Siff’s work has also appeared in Andy Warhol’s Interview Magazine, Paper Mag, The LA Times, Complex and Glamour.

The Golden Globes wasn’t the only star-studded event in L.A. over the weekend; celebs flocked to Union Station Saturday evening for the 2012 Art of Elysium Heaven Gala.

The organization, which “encourages working actors, artists and musicians to voluntarily dedicate their time and talent to children who are battling serious medical conditions” honored Elijah Wood as the Spirit of Elysium winner for his charity work and fundraising efforts.

In an effort to bring “heaven” to life, visionary Cameron Silver, founder and co-owner of the Decades vintage boutique, designed the entire event. From platters of French macaroons, to endless glasses of Beau Joie champagne, a Wolfgang Puck 5-course meal, and an after party complete with buff, metallic underwear wearing “go-go boys,” Silver fused old and new Hollywood to bring his idea of heaven to life.

Some of our fave minx celebs in attendance in included: Rachel Bilson, Kirsten Dunst, Chris Masterson, Sheperd Fairey (djing), Amber Heard, Kelly Osbourne, Camilla Belle, James King, Brittany Snow, & Kate Bosworth.

For those of you who aren’t acquainted, The Mowgli’s play a lovely blend of indie-tinged country and folk. The homegrown septet are true to their SoCal roots, singing about love, peace and rising above the bullshit. They keep it danceable with steady rhythm guitar, and they keep it catchy with Shins-ish vocal hooks.

In short, it’s feel-good music in its purest, greatest, most Californian form. It’s the sort of music that makes your problems seem ridiculous and sends them miles away.

We’re ecstatic to have The Mowgli’s join us Friday night at FEATURE, a new party that we’re throwing on the first Friday of every month, bringing together the best in fashion, art, and music. This month, we’re celebrating the birthday of Ra Bi of Cyrcle., who’ll dazzle us with some art on display.
