She’s hip, she’s quirky, she’s no slave to Hollywood and damn, those blue eyes and that those bangs. In case you’re not caught up to speed, everything Zooey Deschanel touches turns to gold. From her adorable presence in Yes Man, to her indie-cred-boosting appeal in 500 Days of Summer, and her wildly popular indie duo band She & Him, she’s long established that she’s got the goods and you better treat her right.

Fox’s The New Girl has been met with unwaveringly positive reviews and offers (ahem, male viewers) a tantalizing concept. Zooey Deschanel stars as Jess, who moves in with three single men played by Jake M. Johnson (Nick), Lamorne Morris (Winston) and Max Greenfield (Schmidt). The boys of the show do more than hold their own against Deschanel; they help to create a humorous, family-esque environment, playing off Deschanel’s humor with solid deliveries and strong timing.

There is the plot point from the pilot that was a little hard to believe—namely that Zooey’s fiancé cheated on her (so he could return to his crack pipe in Guadalajara? What planet was he from?)

Zooey Deschanel has superior comic timing, delivering certain lines that will make you spray whatever beverage you’re drinking across the room. While a lot of pilots take some time to get going, Deschanel displays a strong and fundamental understanding of the character.

The real reason you need to make The New Girl a must watch is to witness the amazing way that Deschanel as Jess will “dork out” at certain punch lines with indescribable sounds effects and contortions of her face that will make you think, “Oh she is so adorable,” instead of, “What’s… wrong with her?” Catch Zooey’s new hit show Tuesday’s at 9 on Fox!

All I ask is that no one act surprised at the termination of Lively and Leo’s relationship. If anything, we should act surprised that it lasted so long, a total of five months. It would be nice if their reps didn’t assert that they “remain friends” as it sounds so empty and meaningless, and even makes one wonder if things are exactly the opposite.

Here’s my take: it was never going to last. And that’s not jealousy talking (well, not completely). Here’s why.

• Any relationship between two major celebrities is going to have a thousand times more stress and complications than any relationship you or I might have, my dear reader. These people are up against the media, the ninja paparazzi, fighting for plum roles and trying to make time for each other amidst hectic schedules. Tensions will mount and things will start to grate in those circumstances. Add a dash of competitive spice to it and you have a relationship that looks more like a minefield.
• A house built on sand is doomed to collapse, no matter how ornate, lovely or expensive the sand. I’m under the impression that Blake and Leo were having a great deal of yacht parties on the Riviera, romantic walks through Venice and other such schmaltzy activities. Sounds nice, but even two A-listers will have to rejoin the real world at some point. You simply can’t base a relationship around vacation time.
• Leo has a very public history of dating models. Who can forget the three years or so he spent dating Gisele Bundchen, aka, the best-looking woman on the planet? And then after her, he sunk his teeth into Bar Refaeli, equally hot. No matter how secure Blake is with herself, that’s got to be a little daunting. Plus, no one knows if their break up has anything to do with Leo’s uncontrollable model-fetish.

All in all, when either of them starts looking for a long-term relationship, they’d be better off to stick with people like you and I, reader.

Bilson plays a ballerina, a starlet, and an art student in the films, and is frustrated/dissatisfied in each scenario until she sinks her teeth into a delicious chocolate-coated ice cream bar by Magnum Ice Cream.  According to Lagerfeld, it’s about so much more than finding a cold treat, Lagerfeld justifiably said: “It’s a need, a stimulation.” We’ve never seen someone make eating ice cream look so hot! Yeah, we didn’t think it could any worse either. Though we were once fans of the former Gossip Girl star, we’re ready to say that Taylor Momsen has completely lost her marbles! Lat night, Taylor Momsen and Pretty Reckless took the stage at Hollywood’s Hard Rock Cafe to play tracks from their upcoming album Light Me Up. Channeling Rapunzel meets Metallica? Not a good look, babe.

In response to whether she will ever return to the set of Gossip Girl as Jenny, Taylor told MTV, ”We don’t even know if we’re picked up for the next season,” she continued. “So don’t plan on seeing Jenny anytime soon, but in the future who knows?”

She couldn’t reiterate enough that her focus is solely on her music with the possibility of a “Gossip Girl” cameo here and there, but Taylor added, “As far as acting outside of that, I want to play music,” she said. “I want to play in a band and tour and make records for the rest of my life. It’s all I ever wanted to do. Hopefully I can only do that in the future and do it until I’m dead. Who knows what the future will actually hold…who knows? It’s certainly not my focus.”

Not sure that anyone in the biz would even hire her after hearing about how she lit her dog’s neutered testicles on fire, anyway.

Last night, (April 20, 2011) T-Mobile kicked off the official launch of the new T-Mobile Sidekick® 4G™ by Samsung with a super exclusive VIP party in Beverly Hills.  Celebrating the innovative technology featured in the T-Mobile Sidekick® 4G™, the event was the first of its kind – featuring high-tech interactive stations that celebrity guests could partake in – highlighting the device’s incredible advanced social media capabilities.

The unique, futuristic event elements included: the “Sidekick Recording Studio,” which gave guests the opportunity to record and mix their own music via their new Smartphone; the “4G Challenge Race Track,” where mini-games highlighted the Sidekick’s ridiculously fast 4G speed; and “Sidekick Sushi Social,” where guests mixed and mingled – participating in group chats on their Sidekicks, dining on sushi and martinis.

Another unique event feature was the RFID bracelets that were given to guests as they entered the star-studded affair, which were used to share their experiences instantaneously as they scanned their bracelets at different stations throughout the party, allowing them to send updates and pics via their Twitter and Facebook!

DJ Ravidrums mixed beats the majority of the evening, followed by a live performance by superstars The Strokes (pictured above), and ending with late night dance music provided by none other than DJ Spider. A-list celebrity guests included: Whitney Port, Nicky Hilton, and Samaire Armstrong (all pictured below and looking phenomenal), John Stamos, Jesse Metcalfe, Travis Barker, Alessandra Torresani and Emile Hirsch.

Heading out after a night of performing in her latest theatrical effort, “Flare Path”, Sienna was spotted leaving the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London tonight looking flirty and cheerful in a flouncy floral mini and ankle boots. Simultaneously, Keira posed outside of London’s Comedy Theatre after another performance in ”The Children’s Hour,” looking frigid in a librarian-esque getup.  Looks can be deceiving, though, as we know Keira ain’t so uptight after pics surfaced earlier this week of her making out with her new boyfriend James Righto (of the Klaxons).

Apparently, Julia Roberts’ niece and fellow actor Chord Overstreet are on the new couple radar. The 20-year-old Scream 4 star and 22-year-old Glee singer were spotted hardcore making out at Coachella weekend’s most talked about celeb-studded party Neon Carnival, hosted by Armani Exchange and 944 Magazine in an airport hanger in the Middle of Nowhere, USA.

Spotted! Lindsay Lohan and Lady Victoria Hervey arriving at LAX airport last night (after a lengthy stay with her family on the East Coast). While Lindsay’s not in rehab (at this present time), she’s still at risk of being convicted for grand theft in the near future…Regardless, the starlet hasn’t given up her acting career. TMZ reports that she’s signed on to star alongside John Travolta in the film Gotti: Three Generations. The film, directed by Nick Cassavettes (Alpha Dog, The Notebook), portrays the Gambino crime family’s  rise to power in the mid-1980s. Wonder if Lindsay can actually make it to filming scandal-free!

It’s no wonder Karl Lagerfield has chosen Blake Lively as the new face of Chanel – she’s a stunner!

Blake, decked out in Marchesa, was the recipient of the Breakthrough Performer of the Year award at the CinemaCon awards in Las Vegas last night.  The Gossip Girl starlet is putting a spell over the fashion industry – she’s BFF’s with Anna Wintour and Christina Loubutin (he’s even designing a shoe after her).

Even still, Blake’s not one to let all this amazing-ness get to her head. After landing the Chanel campaign, she said: “How did Cinderella feel when she slipped on the glass slipper? How did Snow White feel when she met her Prince Charming? A dream come true is an understatement. I can say that I feel like the happiest, luckiest girl around.”
