Get Away To Hot New Hawaii

Hawaii has always appealed as a classic getaway destination for Angelenos due to its convenience (it’s a short domestic flight over the Pacific Ocean) and it’s natural beauty. Recently, the destination has undergone a revitalization with Minx Society-approved hot new hotels popping up throughout the islands. Here are our favorite Hot New Hawaii Hotels:

Andaz Maui

andaz-mauiOverlooking the super private Mokapu Beach, this sophisticated 15-acre resort is located in Wailea (one of the top luxury resort areas of Maui). Andaz Maui is the first of its kind, bringing a much-needed hip meets luxury vibe to the island. Our favorite aspects of the hotel include: the infinity pools, divine buffet breakfast, and free bike rentals. Nearby recommendations: Morimoto for sushi, Fleetwoods for rooftop drinks, Mama’s Fish House for seafood.

Four Seasons Ko’Olina

Four Seasons = heaven on earth, always – that’s what the hospitality brand stands for and they have managed to do it once again with their newest hotel to Hawaii, Four Seasons Ko’Olina. The exclusive five-star beach resort is suitable for everyone, as a romantic getaway or family vacation about 40 minutes away from Waikiki, which makes it close enough to get to the action yet far away enough to feel secluded. Nearby recommendations: Monkeypod Kitchen for fresh farm-to-table plates, Roy’s for Polynesian cuisine on the golf course, Fish House for innovative seafood, Noe for impeccable Italian reminiscent of Cecconi’s.

The Surf Jack

Finally, Hawaii welcomes its first totally design-forward Instagrammable boutique hotel, reminiscent of hipster-haven Ace Hotel. The Surf Jack offers vintage-inspired, well appointed guest rooms and a party atmosphere in Waikiki, right smack in the center of the bright big city amid gorgeous beaches. Nearby recommendations: Ocean House for beachfront dining, Sweet E’s Cafe for breakfast, The Tchin Tchin! Bar for drinks, Morimoto for sushi.
