London Calling at LAB ART Gallery

Presented by BritWeek, the exhibit London Calling is now running at LAB ART Gallery in Los Angeles. Home of the largest collection of street art, LAB ART is currently featuring pieces from such eminent British artists as Trust_Icon, Lukas Avalon, The Dotmasters, Inkie, Christian Palmer, and Aito for the duration of this month only.

Displaying art from “across the pond”; LA will be able to experience the true British movement of street art. This exciting exchange gives the audience an opportunity to experience and engage with street art that seems a thousand miles away, bringing regional superstars under one international roof.

Britweek was founded in 2007 by Television’s Nigel Lythgoe and the then Consul General Bob Peirce, celebrates and highlights the creative relationship between the UK and the US across art, music, fashion, business, film, and more.  Every Spring it hosts a series of exciting events around Los Angeles celebrating that creative cultural bond that have become anticipated events among Angelenos reaching 150,000 people and attracting huge press.

The exhibition opened with a huge reception on April 30th, 2015 and is now open to the public Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 AM – 5 PM. Guests enjoyed beverages by Tennent’s Original and Popwater, light bites by Berri’s Cafe, and sounds by DJ Kristina Kova. Art afficianados may visit the exhibition located at Lab Art Gallery, 217 S. La Brea Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90036 or may view and purchase the sough-after artwork via their virtual shop. Check out photos from the event:
