This Means Mar’s Solo Show at LAB ART

Street artist and contemporary painter, Mar, presented a solo art exhibition entitled “I Crave Love” at LAB ART, the world’s hottest street art gallery last week.

For the past year, Mar has been developing his most personal, provocative and ambitious series entitled, “I Crave Love.” The collection is based on the existential yearning for true, reciprocated love that we, as humans, all have. Mar first garnished the public’s attention in 2010 through his street art. His hand-drawn prismacolor marker pieces could be seen adorning buildings, walls, utility boxes and light posts around the city. Once the public began to embrace MAR’s street art, and street art in general, his fine art began to garnish attention of celebrities and collectors alike.

LA’s top taste-makers, babes, and celebrities mingled and enjoyed hors d’oeuvres by Berri’s Cafe on Third, complimentary cocktails by Karma tequila mixed with POP water and Monster Energy drinks and gifted Freedom Artists live screen printed “I Crave Love” t-shirts. Mar’s exhibit is open to the public, please visit Lab Art Los Angeles located at 217 S. La Brea Avenue, Los Angeles CA 90036 Tuesday – Saturday anytime between 10 AM – 5 PM.  Check out these photos captured by Jonathan Roberts.
