LA X LA: Courtney Trop, Fashion Blogger

Courtney Trop, It girl from the super popular fashion blog Always Judging is seriously on point when it comes to style. Based in LA, this strawberry blonde’s fashion sense is all about dressing down; pairing basics with statement details, and she has us hooked!

Though a knack for fashion has always come naturally for Courtney, this fashionista has managed to master her experience and skills through working non stop. She’s been in the industry for ten years: from studying at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising to working retail at Saks to running a boutique on Robertson to wholesale to buying to styling for celebrity-favorite Intermix.  Since launching her very own blog, her enviable fashion sense has landed her such accolades as modeling for Stella & Bow and an outfit inspiration feature in Glamour magazine!

Incorporating classic femininity with a hint of edge is what Courtney Trop does best, and we have no doubt she’ll continue to grow as one of LA’s top fashion influencers. We’re only hoping she takes her style public by creating her own line sometime soon! Follow her blog Always Judging and check out her favorite spots in Los Angeles below!

Relationship Status: I like to keep whatever I can possibly keep of my personal life private. I know this sounds strange, being that every time I grab a coffee I Instagram it. I’ll take whatever privacy I can get!

How long have you lived in LA? 7 Years. I’m originally from Pittsburgh, PA.

What is your favorite memory of LA? Concerts. Not any particular one, but I like to make every show I see memorable.

What is your favorite breakfast spot? Shaky Alibi for Coffee when I’m on the go. Little Dom’s for actual sit down breakfast—Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes are unreal.

What is your favorite restaurant of all time? Angelini Osteria—Lasagna and Branzino

How about for – Sushi: Sushi Park Italian: Since I already mentioned Angelini, Mozza Mexican: Escuela Taqueria—Lobster Taco’s are to die for Steak: Boa

Where do you like to let loose? Laurel Hardware or Darkroom. If there’s a good band in the area I live for small concert venues. My favorite band is Hot Chip.

Where do you like to free your mind? A little private beach super deep into Malibu. I love to go alone and listen to music.

What are your favorite LA stores? Creatures of Comfort, Milk Boutique, Reformation, Barney’s, Satine. I’m a big online shopper so I only shop at stores that I have a relationship with.

What is LA’s best hidden gem? I feel like all I do is eat. I have a major relationship with food so for this one I’m going to say the tuna salad sandwich at the Lauren Canyon Country Mart. I crave this often, and you wouldn’t think such a little store could make something so delicious.
