Minx of the Moment: Brooke Fields

On Friday, October 5th, 2012

Meet Brooke Fields, the vivacious dancer turned entrepreneur, with a heart of gold & the kind of looks that could kill.

Hailing from Arizona, dancing has played a big part in Brooke’s life. When she was 18, she attended Arizona State University as a Communication major and landed a spot on their esteemed dance team. When she was 20, she brought her dancing career to a whole new level when she became a part of the preeminent dance team for the NBA’s Phoenix Suns.  Upon graduation, Brooke knew her big-time dreams needed an even bigger stage – and that’s when she decided to jet to the City of Angels.

Brooke quickly made Los Angeles her home, networking with big-names in the talent industry while honing her dancing and business skills. “The first thing I noticed about this beautiful city was the massive amount of creativity, diversity, and opportunity there is, just everywhere you go, everywhere you look,” she said, “I became so inspired that a daily routine was simply nonexistent. I rehearsed constantly and booked as many auditions as I could. Living an LA has proven to be a never-ending adventure.”

Though the dancing opportunities seemed to be endless for Brooke, she wanted to do so much more then dance in a couple of shows. “I wanted to bring dancing back to its Old Hollywood glamour glory days, that’s when I came up with the idea for my own company.” And with that, Brooke launched her own wildly successful burlesque dance company aptly called Brooke Lynn’s Burlesque.

The sizzling hot troupe performs weekly at the W Hollywood alongside famed jazz musician Brenna Whitiker, and special appearances by such notables as Macy Gray. Aside from their weekly, highly buzzed about performance, her dance company has been featured in music videos as well as exclusive red carpet events.

“Separately from my dance company, you can catch me dancing for various artists including Kanye West and Beyonce. I have also been involved in the theatrical and commercial side of dance appearing on various shows such as 90210 and this year’s Budweiser Super bowl Commercial,” she added.

Brooke’s dreams for the future are to continue growing in the world of art and entertainment: “I would love to become a serious regular on a show that would allow me to continue my passion for dance.” But, at the end of the day, this babe has so much love to give; she adds “No matter what’s going on in the world or in my professional career, friends and family are everything.”

As for the best of the best in Los Angeles, Brooke is a fan for sushi, especially at Sushi Roku and Katana. She also loves Boa on Sunset and a good fast food run from time to time! To let loose, she feels the best at the Station Bar in W Hollywood, where she regularly performs: “It’s fun and classy with the best live music I’ve ever heard, what’s not to like?” To offset those occasional fast food runs, Brooke stays in shape through dance as well as hot yoga and pilates at Core Power.

Brooke is also a fashionista, with that certain kind of edge and sex appeal that really makes her stand out. “Because I’m so busy, I rarely ever get any time to myself to shop. Luckily, my favorite shop is Nasty Gal, and I can order everything so easily online. I feel like if I could curate my own boutique, it would be Nasty Gal. Everything is hot and cool.”

Though, this little minx loves the bright lights in the big city, she loves escaping to LA’s best hidden gem, the beach! “I feel as though it is very common for people living in Hollywood to forget that we have a beautiful ocean awaiting us. Sometimes you have to take a step outside the hustle bustle and appreciate the wonders Mother Nature has to offer,” she smiles.
