The Best Spots To Pair Burgers & Beer
Burgers and beer have been paired since the beginning of time (if not they should have been), and don’t forget that a bubbly champagne follows suit as well! With the craft beer movement on the rise, there is no shortage of fun locations to pair a delicious brew with a unique and tasty burger. Believe it or not, if you’re a single lady, these cool burger & beer joints are also perfect for nights on the prowl. And, if it’s your turn to plan date-night, your man will definitely be impressed with any of these choices!
Tavern
Head to this spot when you’re in the mood to mix up your Sunday Funday’s…think fun but but an element of elegance thrown in. They have a $30 Prix fix on Sundays from 3-9PM of “Burgers and Bubbles” which includes three pairing choices like the pork burger topped with manchengo cheese and a nice tall glass of prosecco.
Stout
This Hollywood joint takes their beer pairings as seriously as the flavors of their gourmet burgers. They offer suggestions on how to match the craft brews on tap to your food but they also encourage experimentation. Try the Six Weeker burger topped with brie, fig jam, and caramelized onions paired with a golden ale or fruit beer to compliment the flavors.
Fuku Burger
This Korean burger joint brings a mix of burger options together with a nice beer selection. Try the Tamango egg burger topped with crispy onions and wasabi mayo, or head to the veggie side with a falafel burger topped with avocado cream and pickled cucumbers. Choose from one of 20 beers on tap and don’t forget a side of garlic edamame.
Public School 612
Always staying in theme, the menus at this spot look like school composition notebooks. Grab the rich Colorado Lamb Burger with cranberry jam and pair it with a glass of Sofia champagne or An Ace Pear Cider.
Umami
The word umami stands for the savory of the basic tastes so you can sure the restaurant’s menu is on point and the servers are prepared to help you match your dream burger with the best brew possible. There are a few different locations that boast some different items…head to The Grove for the Grove Truffle Burger, a beef patty topped with parmesan fondue and truffle sauce. Add an amber ale from the tap and you’ll be too busy to talk for the next 25 minutes.
Father’s Office
This spot has an extensive beer menu…and only one signature burger to choose from. The most logical thing to do here is return and order a different beer until you find your perfect match, because repeating the burger won’t bother you a bit. Pair the bacon and caramelized onion topped patty with a blond beer like the Belgian Triple Karmeliet or a super intense brew like the North Coast Old Rasputin Imperial Stout.
