On Thursday, September 27th, 2012

Another big music festival is headed our way, Los Angeles. From October 4-7, a number of musical acts from around the world will convene in and around our city for Filter Magazine’s third annual Culture Collide Festival.

Slated for venues including the Echo/Echoplex, Origami Vinyl, the Echo Park United Methodist Church and various restaurants in the Echo Park area, this event looks like it’ll have something for everyone.

Musically, the most notable acts taking part include Of Montreal, the Wombats, School of Seven Bells, The Big Pink, Class Actress, Zola Jesus, Patrick Wolf unplugged, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, American Royalty, Blood Red Shoes, and many, many more.

This is seriously a huge event. The first three days will feature performances in various venues with happy hour specials at nearby restaurants while Sunday will host an outdoor block party with multiple stages, food trucks, pop-up stores, and other goodies.

Additionally, on Friday and Saturday nights the iconic Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre will host Comedy Collide, which will be headlined by comedy sets from UCB notables like Matt Braunger,Nick Thune, Howard Kremer, Natasha Legero, Matt Besser.

Passes for the entire weekend are only $20 and are available via Ticketweb, but the website urges patrons to show up early if you really want to catch a particular set – because of fire codes and all that fun stuff.
