Listen to Yeasayer’s New LP Three Weeks Early
Experimental/psychedelic band Yeasayer will release their new album, Fragrant World, on August 21st – but you can listen to the whole thing now, online. There’s a catch, however.
Earlier this week, the band hid the album’s tracks on the Internet, and fans had to search far and wide to find their corresponding links. Obviously, people found the tracks, and you can currently stream each track via YouTube until tonight at 5 PM Pacific Time, when the links are disabled.
The whole campaign is pretty innovative and fun, and as a result we get to hear to new Yeasayer three weeks early. Their 2010 album One Blood was one of the best records of that year, and Fragrant World is expected to be just as good, if not better.
Fragrant World officially comes out on August 21st. If you dig the band and their new tunes, head over to their site and pre-order the album. Bands like this deserve it. And don’t forget to catch the band at FYF Fest in September – their only scheduled L.A.-area show right now.
