SBE + Bolthouse’s Newest Hotspot: Hollywood’s Blok
SBE just doesn’t stop cranking out hotspots. The company currently has over two-dozen venues in full swing that include nightclubs, hotels, and restaurants, and they are showing no signs of slowing down. Tonight marks yet another grand opening, this time around for their new venture called Blok. The nightclub is taking over the Hollywood venue formerly known as Eden on Schraeder and can be expected to hold about 300 of LA’s top tastemakers, hot shots, & celebrities alike.
As for the setup, be prepared for raised tables with your normal indoor bottle service scenario, but as a twist there will also be an open-air patio with plenty of unreserved seating. The mixture of table arrangements is not a normal setup for a classic club venue and it sounds like a fun way to mix things up. Anyone up for some summer night mingling?
The dance floor is on the smaller side and graced by an elevated DJ booth. To kick off the club tonight Diplo is hosting the event and celebrating the recent five-year signing deal of rapper Riff Raff to his recording label Mad Decent. Allegedly Diplo put down a deposit on a $45,000 chain for Riff Raff & will present it to him tonight…guess they’re pretty excited to be working together. (Among other things Diplo also produced that awesome Alex Clare song “Too Close to Love You” that’s on that Internet Explorer commercial.)
Bolthouse Productions and Black Book are bringing tonight’s opening event to you, so you can expect a level of exclusivity at the door to round out the intimate spot.
