Watch out, Lululemon! De Rex Actionwear, a new athletic apparel company, is taking the fashion meets sports scene by storm. From hot action swimsuits designed to hug the body and stay in place, to quick dry yoga pants, & cozy cotton fleece hoodies, this new line has the gear to make your on-the-go schedule that much easier (& sexier!).

Looking good and feeling good often go hand in hand when working out, which is why with De Rex, you don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort. Created by Shenae DeWeese in Malibu, California, De Rex effortlessly combines style and function to perfectly suit the lifestyles of athletes and health-conscious women alike.

“For such a beautiful sport, I found the selection of athletic swimwear to be shocking. Instead of beautiful, sleek designs, great swimmers were walking around in Speedo designs which have not changed in 20 years,” Shenae said. “I design for women who love to swim and run, but who also have great personal style.”

The swimsuits come in two styles, a two-piece bikini and a cutout one-piece. The two-piece has cute pink drawstrings on the bottom for optimal fit, and a deep scoop neck on the top for a modern, sexy look. Made with quick dry fabric, these suits can be comfortably worn for a multitude of different activities! We’re pretty much obsessed with the action suit in white out ($150).

“With my De Rex Actionwear I can throw on my action leggings and [the] crisp white flow top with a cashmere scarf for lunch, and then lose the scarf and wear the same thing to a yoga class. The same goes for my action suits. When I’m at the beach, I want to paddle out for a couple waves in a suit that won’t fall off, and then go catch some rays feeling just as confident,” Shenae said. The meticulous thought and care that Shenae has put into De Rex has undoubtedly paid off, considering the line’s clients include big-time models Gisele Bundchen, Daria Werbowy, and Cindy Crawford. “[Gisele] really liked the action suits and said ‘they’d be great for surfing,’ and she ‘loved’ the action hoodie with its oversized hood,” Shenae said.

The future of De Rex Actionwear is nothing but bright; a collaboration with supermodel Carolyn Murphy for the website OpenSky is just the beginning! The brand will expand to include a men’s collection for Resort 2013, and will grow to include gear for many more sports, including golf, tennis, and equestrian riding.
