One thing’s for sure about living space in LA: you either get brand new & small or “vintage” and huge. For most of us, space is most important and we’ll drool over Old Hollywood-esque Spanish architecture over the mundanely modern look any day. But, every now and again that vintage home can get a little well, too vintage. Luckily, modernizing your living space can be easy. Here’s how you can glam up your place on the cheap!

1. Change Wall Colors

The 2 very best spaces to paint: the wall behind your bed & your dining room walls. For whatever reason, this technique glams up your living space instantly & it’s totally affordable. The options are endless – dining rooms can look fabulous in royal blue, deep red, or shades of grey. 2. Details, Details, Details

It’s all about the details! Make your living room, bedroom, & hallways chic with new home accessories: decorative pillows & “chachkes.” Skulls can totally edge up a space, simply place this Metallic Skull piece by Z Gallerie ($30) on a coffee table, nightstand, or book shelf and you’ll score tons of compliments. 5. Get Organized
