All The Rage: Linda Farrow Shades
Linda Farrow was the go-to-gal for stellar sunglasses in the ’70s, (of such magnitude that Yoko Ono was her number one client). The ’90s came and the shades vanished (as all fashion trends come to an end at some point). But, some do resurface in later years and Linda Farrow’s shades have undoubtedly done just that in a big way for good reason.
In 2003, Farrow’s son Simon Jablon found a hidden catalogue of over 2000 vintage styles in the family’s Islington, London warehouse. What was a fellow to do with such vast unseen beauty? Mass produce and sell it, of course. And with these revived 2000 or so vintage sunglasses back on the shelves and onto beautiful faces, came widespread attention from consumers, the media and celebrities. Luckily, the revival of Linda Farrow sunglasses meant thousands and thousands of styles to choose from thanks to special collaborations with Luella, Lady Gaga, Jeremy Scott, Sophia Kokosalaki, House of Holland, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s The Row, and Dries Van Noten; as well as a host of fashionistas including Kate Moss, Nicole Richie and Sienna Miller.
Check out the site and see for yourself: every pair is exquisitely crafted and oozing with edge. Once you see these babies, you will just adore ALL of them, one pair won’t be enough. You may find yourself having to resort to doing the “eeny-meeny-miny-moe” method just to narrow down the selection and make a decision (and it’ll suffice, every pair is just fucking awesome).
